Sunday, March 10th at 5pmET/4pmCT G2Factor will review Superman Family Adventures #10, Smallville Season 11 digital firsts #35 & #36, and Superman 17.   Also some comments regarding Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Sorry about the impromptu cancellation last week.

More DCU news with new comic books about Superman appearing in June and also some children books based on the Man of Steel movie.

For those who are joining in on the Lois Lane watch:  check out a few panels in Superman Family Adventures #10.  That’s the only one.

Join us in the live chatroom or via live streaming.  Downloads on iTunes and talkshoe.

Sunday, January 6th at 5pmET/4pmCT, G2Factor will discuss Superman Family Adventures #8, Smallville Season 11 #28, and Superman #15.  Plus some preview pages of Action #16.

Lots to talk about and to enjoy!  Good to see George Perez’s villains from the initial issues of new 52 Superman in Superman Family Adventures.  J’onn Jonzz and Batman appear in Smallville Season 11’s EFFIGY in its debut chapter.  And Superman gave us Lex Luthor and the appearance of the Justice League.  It was a Lois-less and Clark-less week in the Superman stories.

Hope you’ll join us in the live chat room or on live streaming.  Downloads after the show on iTunes and talkshoe.

SUNDAY, December 2nd at 5pmET/4pmCT, G2Factor will be discussing three versions of Superman.  Bryan Q. Miller’s Smallville Season 11 digital #24, Superman Family Adventures #7 by Baltazar and Franco, and the new 52 Superman #14 by Scott Lobdell.

Lots of stuff going on this week within the panels and behind the scenes.  The new 52 still remains a war zone on all fronts which is getting tiresome.  The fauxmance bullship is destructive not only to icons but to fanbases as well.

A beacon of hope on the very first page of Superman #14 though.  Which we will hold on tightly to through these dark and dreary embattled months ahead.

Thank God! for Smallville Season 11 and Superman Family Adventures, the only two books about Superman, G2Factor recommends being on your pull lists.  Support these books as they are a joy to read.

Live chatroom and streaming during show.  Downloads available on iTunes and talkshoe after the show.

Hope to see you there!

G2FACTOR: 3 nu52 & SS11 #23

Sunday, November 25th 5pmET/4pmCT G2Factor will discuss Red Hood & the Outlaws #14, Justice League #14, Supergirl #14 and Smallville Season 11 #23.  Superman appearances in every single one of them.

There was a price discrepancy on the dccomics app on Friday for Smallville Season 11 #23.  Comixology attributed it to a clerical error.  Check your receipts to see what you were charged.  Smallville Season 11 is still 99 cents.  If you were charged something else, contact Comixology (not dccomics) and they’ll put it right.  They are fantastic to work with.

It doesn’t look as if Clark and Lois fans are going to get a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, or Happy Valentine’s Day from the new 52.  Too busy pushing the fauxmance at us.  And the 75th anniversary for Clark/Lois/Superman is fast approaching.  Yea, we’re worried.  It’s currently standard operating procedure to kick Clark/Superman and Lois fans in the teeth in the new 52.

If you were one of the people who read a lot of the #1s last September (2011) then you might want to review Justice League Dark #1.  Xanadu is scanning the future and there are panels involving Cyborg, Superman and Wonder Woman in a battle with Enchantress.  This appears to be still in our reading future (possibly as a precursor to the Trinity War).  It does show the bullship was planned from the beginning.

I think it’s time to get out the puke buckets again.  BTW they still make those steel washtubs, you can get them at Home Depot in case buckets aren’t big enough.

SMALLVILLE SEASON 11 will continue to be our savior.  And SUPERMAN FAMILY ADVENTURES, our joy.

A glimmer of hope in Supergirl 14 (see above convo) that is to be continued in Superman #14.  But then we go into crossover hell with H’El and after that Helspont (confirmed in RH&TO).

Some good Clois tweets from writers who are writing future Superman books.  We’ll inform you of those.

Batman has been terrific in SMALLVILLE SEASON 11’s DETECTIVE and proved he’s the GD Batman in Justice League #14.  Do you think he’d appreciate a hug from us?

Join us on Sunday for our perspectives and opinions.  Live chat and streaming during the show.  Downloads on iTunes and talkshoe after the show.

Only 3 weeks before we get the trailer for Man of Steel film.  That would be where Superman and Lois Lane share a kiss.  CAN’T WAIT!!!

Sunday, November 18th at 5pmET/4pmCT, G2Factor will discuss the 22nd digital of Smallville Season 11.  The final chapters of DETECTIVE will soon arrive.  You can enjoy the print compilation the first Wednesday in December.  The #6 (October) print issue increased in sales orders numbers over September.  Bryan Q. Miller‘s exciting story is really heating up.

We can hardly wait to read these new pages.  Fire up your comic apps on Friday, November 16th for the anticipation of downloading this fantastic book.

The Little Comic That Could Is Doing It!!!

And now for something completely different . . .

G2Factor is offering to be your first line of defense with what DC Comics is doing with Superman in the new 52.

DC seems to be determined to keep new 52 Superman edgy and alien without relating to humans, particularly Lois Lane.  Clark has strong feelings for Lois but thinks she is unattainable and his love seems unrequited.  This from a guy who supposedly had a five year relationship with Ms. Lane before the start of Superman #1.  Now after the kiss in JL12, Wonder Woman is smitten and will consult with Eros about her feelings for the Man of Steel.  Another kiss cover will be displayed in February.

Superman of the new 52 doesn’t seem to have any responsibility where his feelings are concerned.  Is this a good depiction of the Man of Steel?

Despite the fact that the 75th anniversary is fast approaching, it appears as though Lois Lane will not be celebrating along with Clark/Superman.  If you find this a despicable fate, then allow us to do the dirty work for you.

Matt Idelson said he wanted fans to pine for Clark and Lois so intensely that DC will hear us loud and clear and allow the characters to be together.   The only way to make that voice known is contacting DC Comics with your respectful views and most importantly . . . DON’T BUY THE BOOKS.   This is where G2Factor comes in.  We will monitor the books for you.  You can PINE WITHOUT PAYING.  We’ll let you know if DC is finally getting a clue about the absence of Lois in Superman’s romantic life holding him back from being the hero generations have loved for 75 years.

Save your money.  Don’t have Superman, Action, Justice League on your pull lists.  G2Factor will check all books Superman and/or Lois are in and let you know how things are going.  You can listen to the shows as we do the research.  You can decide to buy or not buy at that time.  Don’t put hope in the dangling carrot.

In the meantime, we’ll continue reviewing and enjoying Smallville Season 11 and Superman Family Adventures.  These are the true Superman!!!  Smallville Season 11’s Superman is very much the Man of Steel.  He has restraint and is emotionally balanced.  He follows his heart.  He’s exciting to read.  And he’s younger than the new 52 Superman.

Sunday, November 4th at 5pmET/4pmCT, G2Factor will discuss Superman Family Adventures #6, Action Annual #1, and Superman: Earth One v2 plus some commentary on DC Comics promotional treatment of Lois Lane on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the Superman mythos.

Chris has tweeted with Scott Snyder and Andy Diggle, new writers for Superman stories.  She’ll be reporting on those convos.

In case, DC Comics has forgotten the importance of Lois Lane in the narrative of the Superman mythos, we’ll submit these visual aides to assist them with remembering their history:

From Action #1, 1938, the book that started it all.  This is what fans will be celebrating this Spring, hopefully.

Lois Lane has to defend herself from a notorious mobster, since her date, Clark Kent, has refused to be chivalrous (because he has another identity).  In this panel, we can see Lois’ fearless Chutzpah against evil and injustice.  The dual identity is evident.  Clark Kent has to warn her from harm, but Superman admires her spirit and assertiveness.

From the new 52, Action #0, before he even meets Lois Lane, Clark Kent is enamored of the spirit and fearlessness in her journalism.   She is the one person he would love to meet in the big city of Metropolis.  We later learn that Lois Lane has loved Clark Kent’s blog before he came looking for work at the Daily Star.  He will soon introduce the city to the superhero that Lois Lane will name, Superman.

Chris suggested we post some positive nuggets for folks in regards to new 52 Superman:

“… without Lois in his life, that human representation is something he had to grow towards, and that the absence of Lois in his romantic life held him back.  — Matt Idelson, Ask Matt, Supermanhomepage, August, 2012.

Hope to see you on Sunday.  Live chat room and streaming during the show.  Downloads on iTunes and talkshoe after the show.

Sunday, October 28th at 5pmET/4pmCT G2Factor will discuss SMALLVILLE SEASON 11 #21 by Bryan Q. Miller and Superman #13 by Scott Lobdell.  Two very different Clark Kents and Supermen.

Smallville Season 11 should prove exciting as we’ll see what happens to a Kryptonite compromised Superman and how he survives with the help of Batman and the love of his life, Lois Lane.

Superman #13 gave us the first Clark Kent/Superman in Metropolis story by Scott Lobdell.  He plotted Superman Annual #1.  Is there a difference between the two Clarks in these two books, too?

Grant Morrison will be putting 5 years of story in Action #15 through #17.  Morrison stated there would be a death of Superman story involved in his last arc.

While watching Andy Diggle interviews during NYCC, found out this information:

“I very much want to balance the extremely epic, massive-scale action heroics with the human side of Kal-El and Clark Kent too. I would like to see him explored a little bit more. And I would like to see his relationship with Lois Lane explored a little bit more in the New 52.”

“I think that he feels a bit like a fish out of water, and I think Diana feels the same way, so to a degree, they feel like kindred spirits, which is not quite the same as his relationship with Lois.”

Black suit in Superman #0 appears in Action #18 and the H’El on Earth storyline between the superbooks spins into another crossover involving Action also.

This last clue is interesting as we saw this symbol in Superman #7:

It’s also significant that Helspont had an arc in the Superman book and told Clark in the Superman Annual #1, he knew Jor-El.  In Superman #0 we see Kal-El on Krypton (dressed in black) narrating the story of his parents and the discovery they were expecting him.  We saw the black suit again in Action #18 on Tony Daniel’s cover.   A Daemonite horn also appeared in Superman #0 as it did in Superman #1.  Helspont could be creating an alternate reality for Superman to exist in.

Could Superman, Supergirl, Superboy, and Action be going from H’El to Helspont?  Will this possible crossover lead to the bigger crossover in the Justice League, Justice League of America and possibly Justice League Dark known as the Trinity War?

Here’s the reason why we ask that question:

This appeared in the Justice League 6 backstory:

And more recently in the backstory of Justice League #13 the intro to Justice League of America:

So join us on Sunday as we talk about Superman in SMALLVILLE SEASON 11 and Superman #13.  Live chatroom and streaming available during show.  Downloads on  iTunes  and talkshoe.

Kimmie and Chris will be giving us their impressions of what is going on, as usual.

Tasha will have a new blog article on OSCK this week.

And be sure to check out Holli’s Op-eds on baudyhallee.
