This past week, we read Action #22 written by Scott Lobdell. It was utter dreck. Clark would never use his powers for monetary gain nor should he ever state that he should punch first and often. Who is this poser? It certainly isn’t Superman. And is unworthy of our time and money.
We are enjoying the Jor-El and Lara backup story written by Frank Hannah. And both artists on the main and backup stories should be recognized for their good work.
However, with the upcoming new book in October (which shall not be named) and the current state of Action and Superman books, we will no longer provide a public service by reviewing the books for folks to know if they would want to read and buy them. We’re only human. This is painful for us since we truly love Superman and his 75 year long mythology, but DC Entertainment has tortured us long enough.
We will definitely still cover Smallville Season 11 and Adventures of Superman. Also Superman Unchained and Batman/Superman (until they make us ragey).
This link is our July 7th show where we discuss this decision, the comics, the absent comics, Man of Steel and WB/DCE politics. This is also available on iTunes.
Sunday, July 14th, we’ll be reviewing Smallville Season 11 #54, Adventures of Superman #11, Superman Unchained #2, MOS, and whatever pre-SDCC news there will be.
Many thanks to our followers.
