G2FACTOR: New 52 #17s, JLA #1, & SS11 #35

Sunday, February 24th at 5pmET/4pmCT G2Factor will be discussing a myriad of comic books besides our digital-first, Smallville Season 11 #35.  This week Action #17 was late (probably due to Morrison getting an additional issue), Supergirl #17 gave us a fight between the Maiden of Might and Wonder Woman as well as a Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen appearance.  (Now why can’t we get that in Action and Superman?).  Justice League #17 (fish out of water story).  Also interesting developments in Wonder Woman #17 (Orion apparently went to the Guy Gardner School of Romance) and a #1 issue of Justice League of America (Go Steve Trevor!!!).

Plenty to talk about including how we basically are feeling regarding Superman storylines and the comic book industry generally.

Bryan Q. Miller informed us this week that beginning January, 2013, Smallville Season 11 fans will no longer have a monthly hiatus — there will be a digital-first released every Friday!!!  EFFIGY will fill in the ‘extra’ weeks as HAUNTED plays out the other 3 weeks.  Superman every week, people!

Nope, no Lucy or Lois in this one.  But we gots Lana and multiple timelines, alternate whatevers, and just a hodge podge that would make Renton from Trainspotting feel at home while the dead baby crawls on the ceiling.

Lois made the Action #18 cover and Tony Daniel says she’s one of his favorite characters — she shares the cover with others.  Still love it! Some news about the solicits for March, 2013, bringing another crossover for the Super books including present time Action.  Cat Grant made the cover of Superman #18 before Lois Lane did . . . surprised?

SUNDAY, December 2nd at 5pmET/4pmCT, G2Factor will be discussing three versions of Superman.  Bryan Q. Miller’s Smallville Season 11 digital #24, Superman Family Adventures #7 by Baltazar and Franco, and the new 52 Superman #14 by Scott Lobdell.

Lots of stuff going on this week within the panels and behind the scenes.  The new 52 still remains a war zone on all fronts which is getting tiresome.  The fauxmance bullship is destructive not only to icons but to fanbases as well.

A beacon of hope on the very first page of Superman #14 though.  Which we will hold on tightly to through these dark and dreary embattled months ahead.

Thank God! for Smallville Season 11 and Superman Family Adventures, the only two books about Superman, G2Factor recommends being on your pull lists.  Support these books as they are a joy to read.

G2FACTOR: 3 nu52 & SS11 #23

Sunday, November 25th 5pmET/4pmCT G2Factor will discuss Red Hood & the Outlaws #14, Justice League #14, Supergirl #14 and Smallville Season 11 #23.  Superman appearances in every single one of them.

There was a price discrepancy on the dccomics app on Friday for Smallville Season 11 #23.  Comixology attributed it to a clerical error.  Check your receipts to see what you were charged.  Smallville Season 11 is still 99 cents.  If you were charged something else, contact Comixology (not dccomics) and they’ll put it right.  They are fantastic to work with.

It doesn’t look as if Clark and Lois fans are going to get a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, or Happy Valentine’s Day from the new 52.  Too busy pushing the fauxmance at us.  And the 75th anniversary for Clark/Lois/Superman is fast approaching.  Yea, we’re worried.  It’s currently standard operating procedure to kick Clark/Superman and Lois fans in the teeth in the new 52.

If you were one of the people who read a lot of the #1s last September (2011) then you might want to review Justice League Dark #1.  Xanadu is scanning the future and there are panels involving Cyborg, Superman and Wonder Woman in a battle with Enchantress.  This appears to be still in our reading future (possibly as a precursor to the Trinity War).  It does show the bullship was planned from the beginning.

I think it’s time to get out the puke buckets again.  BTW they still make those steel washtubs, you can get them at Home Depot in case buckets aren’t big enough.

SMALLVILLE SEASON 11 will continue to be our savior.  And SUPERMAN FAMILY ADVENTURES, our joy.

A glimmer of hope in Supergirl 14 (see above convo) that is to be continued in Superman #14.  But then we go into crossover hell with H’El and after that Helspont (confirmed in RH&TO).

Some good Clois tweets from writers who are writing future Superman books.  We’ll inform you of those.

Batman has been terrific in SMALLVILLE SEASON 11′s DETECTIVE and proved he’s the GD Batman in Justice League #14.  Do you think he’d appreciate a hug from us?
